Assumptions

  1. You have already created an account with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  2. You can configured a billing account

Instructions

Getting the key from GCP

  1. Go to https://aistudio.google.com/app/api-keys

  2. Click Create API key

  3. Fill in values for your new api key

    1. provide any meaningful name (e.g. AI Portal)
    2. chose any project (Default Gemini Project is fine if you do not already have a GCP Project)

  4. Click Create key

  5. Click Set up billing to tie your API key to your billing account

  6. Select the billing account to associate with your API key (in the below example the account is named “My Billing Account”)

  7. Click Finish setup

  8. Copy the API key, you will be adding that key to AI Portal Next
