xAI Grok-4 are available on Azure by request.

Microsoft typically grants access in few hours to a few days once you have taken the steps below. Microsoft may also want to verify your email, so periodically check your email inbox.

1. Create a “Subscription” in Azure

(Skip if an AI Portal Subscription already exists)

On Azure, a Subscription is a logical container used to provision and manage Azure resources, providing boundaries for billing, access control, and governance.

Follow the steps in the link below to create a Subscription in Azure. The Subscription you create will be used for your AI Portal.

For our resources, we require Paid of Pay-as-you-go Azure subscriptions. Due to resource availability Ai Portal will not work in Sponsored or credit-based subscriptions.

2. Request limited access models for your Subscription

⚠️

To ensure access request does not fail, make sure

 1. You have the correct Azure subscription
 2. You ARE NOT submitting with a personal email (Example: @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @hotmail.com, etc.)

Assuming you have already created a Subscription…

 1. Request access to limited access model using the appropriate form: https://aka.ms/xai/grok-4
 1. Keep an eye out for an email confirming from Microsoft asking you to verify your email address
